My mom had 2 figurines made of a white stone resembling snow. They changed to different shades of blue to violet as the weather changed. She said they wee made of weather stone. This was a popular item in the 1950's. I am not able to find any info on this material. So whats the scientific name for it?
What is the scientific name for weather stone?
If the stone is wet... it is raining
A dry stone indicates... it is not raining
If a shadow is beneath the stone... the sun is shining
Should the stone be swinging... there's a strong
wind blowing
If the stone is bouncing up and down... there's an
earthquake
If it's white on top... it is snowing
If the stone is expanding, it's getting warmer...
if contracting, it's getting colder
If the stone appears fuzzy, you should probably
walk, not drive, to your next destination
Reply:May be there are magnets in and they react to atmosphere tension?
