What is the scientific name for a lizard?

Please tell me its important.

What is the scientific name for a lizard?
Scientific names are specific to each individual species. You need to be specific as to what type of lizard you are referring to.


Common Anole found in US--(Anole carolenesis)


Komodo Dragon-(Varanus komdoensis)


Iguana-(Igauna igauna) --clever huh


Aligator--(Aligator mississippiensis)


These are just a few common one you may have been thinking of.

Other names: Lacerta.


That answer your question, although i think that you should specify next time please, it would be a little easier to find out the answer
