What exactly is a german giant beardie? what is the scientific name?
The German Giant is a morph of Pogona Vitticeps, or the Inland Bearded Dragon, created by Pete Weis. They are larger than ordinary P.Vitticeps, have generally smaller heads ( in proportion to their bodies ), and the irises are more silvery-gold than ordinary P.Vitticeps.
Reply:German Giant Beardies aren't neccessarily from German areas. I believe that its just the person who discovered them that named them that. And the difference is that the GG Beardies have a bigger girth and are longer then other breeds of beardies.
