Reply:Leonotis leonurus, Lion's Tail or Wild Dagga is a South African medicinal plant used by shamans and others for various purposes. It is a low water use, heat tolerant shrub type plant that is suited to use in dry or xeriscape plantings and for containers. Just give it moderate to light water as needed, and some frost protection and it should do fine for you. Two notes of caution to remember are that it is frost tender and that it spreads by root suckers.
