What is the scientific name for solidified mercury?

I happen to be an amateur working on ALCHEMY. Keeping in view HOT %26amp; COLD FUSSION ; I have successfuly solidified mercury and converted it to silver.`

What is the scientific name for solidified mercury?
ummm....ok....
Reply:If your "solidified mercury" is still pure mercury, then it is still called mercury. If you have mixed it with another metal, then it is an alloy of mercury and whatever you added. It is altogether impossible that you have converted mercury into pure silver in your kitchen or garage. You'd need a particle acclerator for that.

Hot and cold fusion, by the way, have absolutely nothing to do with fiddling around with metal alloys. If you want to play around with alchemy as a hobby, fine. (But please do it safely.) However, I strongly recommend that you also educate yourself in conventional chemistry and physics so that you better understand the limits of pseudosciences like alchemy.
Reply:if you get mercury to about -38 degrees celcius it will freeze, but i think you're confused about what 'cold fusion' is, since to convert mercury into silver you'd need fission. Anyhow good luck with that.
Reply:Oh drat, you beat me to it. I was sooooooo close!! However, what is "FUSSION?"
