Sociophobia is NOT the fear of not being good enough in social situations... it's simply the fear of social situations.





Philosophically speaking, one can only "fear" an object that is outside of themselves (i.e., heights, closed spaces)- they are projections of more deep-seated anxieties. As such, the "fear of not being good enough" would not necessarily be classified as a phobia. Rather, it's likely more the result of a low sense of self-worth and low self-confidence.
