Agates are semi-precious gemstones that are a variegated form of chalcedony (pronounced kal-sed鈥?nee), which is silicon dioxide in the form of microscopic fibrous quartz crystals.
LIGHT SALMON stone will be a Marble. Mineralogy: 95% calcite (CaCO3) or dolomite Ca,Mg(CO3)2. Impurities may give rise to new minerals such as olivine.
