Reply:Ornithologist as people have already stated. Ornithology literally means the study of birds. Ornith is greek for "bird" and ology is greek for "the science of."

There are a great variety of ornithologists. From molecular level studies of physiology and genetics to ecolologists and conservationists, as long as the taxa they study is Aves then by default they are considered an ornithologist.
